Getting Started

Up and running in under 5 minutes

Fastest path to your first order: Create your workshop → share your dropzone link → receive client submissions.

Set up your shop now >

1. Create your account

Head to the sign-up page and create your account with an email and password. You'll be logged in immediately — no credit card required.

Your 30-day trial starts automatically

The moment you sign up, a 30-day free trial begins. During your trial you get full access to every feature — including printer fleet management, filament inventory, the print farm dashboard, and AI credits (coming soon). No activation step, no credit card. Just sign up and explore.

2. Set up your workshop

Navigate to Shop in the sidebar to create your workshop profile. Give it a name (this will appear on your public dropzone page), add your business address, and optionally include a logo.

3. Configure your cost calculator

Go to Settings and fill in your cost calculator parameters:

  • Electricity rate — your cost per kWh
  • Printer power — wattage of your printer
  • Failure margin — multiplier to account for failed prints (e.g., 1.10 = 10% buffer)
  • Target profit margin — percentage markup on top of costs
  • Handling, packaging, and shipping fees — fixed costs per job or order

These values are used by Limes to automatically calculate accurate quotes whenever you price a print job.

4. Share your dropzone

Your workshop comes with a public Dropzone link — a branded page where clients can submit print requests by uploading STL or 3MF files and describing their project. Find your dropzone URL in the Shop page and share it with clients, on your website, or in your social media bio.

💡 Enable instant quoting: Go to Settings → Dropzone Behavior and toggle on Instant Quote. When enabled, clients who upload an STL file will immediately see an estimated price — broken down into production cost and shipping — and can accept the quote with a single click.

This feature uses a lightweight slicer engine to estimate print time and material. A built-in safety catch automatically flags implausible estimates so they don't reach your client.

5. Manage orders

When a client submits a request through your dropzone, it automatically appears as a new order in your Orders dashboard. From there you can:

  • Review the submission and attached files
  • Generate a quote using your cost calculator
  • Assign print jobs to your printers
  • Track progress from submission to shipment
